IVRF has three on-going committees: Communications, Membership/Outreach and Education, and Mobilization/Advocacy & Policy Watch. We also sometimes have shorter term working groups like our recent “Follow the Money” group investigating state funding of anti-abortion centers. Individuals from member congregations are eligible and encouraged to join a committee in order to more directly contribute to the work of IVRF. Please see below for a description of each committee and how to get involved.
Communications

The Communications Committee engages with participating member congregations through email newsletters, and updates the IVRF-NC website with new events, resources, and activities.

Membership, Outreach & Education

The Membership, Outreach & Education Committee identifies prospective congregations and informs them of our purpose and activities. We provide congregational resources for discussing related issues and we encourage participation in IVRF events and advocacy.

Mobilization/Activism & Policy
The Mobilization and Advocacy Committee (MAC) participates in, plans and implements action events that support the tenets of reproductive freedom, including equitable access to abortion and birth control, and bodily autonomy.
The Policy Watch Committee scans local, state, and national policies and laws affecting women’s reproductive rights and provide updates to IVRF to support outreach, mobilization, and education efforts.
