Volunteer to Text NC Women Who Haven’t Voted Yet!

For the final week before Election Day, IVRF members have an opportunity to text thousands of NC women who have not yet voted. We will encourage them to vote in the knowledge that all votes count. Bob Hall, retired executive director of Democracy NC, is providing contacts in batches of 35 or 70 or 105 – your choice. Please contact Bob at sprc@mindspring.com with the number of contacts you are requesting. Once you have sent out your text messages, we hope you will consider sending more. Time is of essence. We will continue texting until the morning of Election Day, Nov. 5th, so if you run out of names, email Bob again to request more!

Women like you and me will decide who wins this election. Contests up and down the ballot are so close that just 3 voters per city could make the difference. That actually happened in 2020.  Staying home is the same as voting for your worse choice. Please join me in making a plan to vote this Tuesday, 6:30 am-7:30 pm. Find your polling place and see what’s on your ballot at https://vt.ncsbe.gov/RegLkup/.  Best time to vote to avoid longest lines is mid-morning or mid-afternoon. Thank you! –[insert your name]

Tips for faster message sending :

Once you have copied the above text message, you can paste it into your first message for sending; and enter the phone number into the top, and send. The fastest way to continue is for you to tap on your message, and you will see an option for ‘More.’  When you click on ‘More’ a forwarding arrow will appear in the bottom right corner of your phone. Click on the arrow and it will immediately paste your message into a new text and you just need to type in the phone number and send this text; you will send messages one at a time and start again by clicking ‘More’ again. You can easily do 35 texts in less than 30 minutes this way.
